That's why we meet or exceed the requirements laid down by the relevant occupational health and safety legislation wherever we operate, and are currently seeking certification to BS OHSAS18001:2007.
Raising awareness
Our health and safety management system safeguards all our day-to-day activities and is underpinned by clear communication to employees to raise awareness on key safety issues. Our system and related policies are regularly reviewed to ensure we're up to date with the latest legislation.
We set annual targets and objectives, and monitor our performance against them.
Reducing risk
Health and safety committees identify, assess and reduce risk through regular inspections of our sites and depots, as well as provide a means for potential violations to be reported. We implement appropriate risk reduction programmes and safe systems of work in order to continuously improve on our health and safety performance.
