Social responsibility

At telent we take our Corporate Social Responsibility seriously and ensure that always consider environmental and social factors.

We believe business is about more than just financial performance – a company must act ethically and responsibly too.

Companies not only have a Corporate Social Responsibility in terms of financial, environmental and social factors, they must also recognise that their employees want to work for a company that cares about its own people, and the wider community.  telent and our employees follow behavioural guidelines to ensure we continue to take this into account, we do this by:

Rigorous procedures and audit processes

We consider the environmental implications of working conditions, health and safety, and ethical procurement, and have developed explicit and detailed codes of conduct, procedures and audit processes designed to effectively manage and monitor a wide range of issues related to these concerns.

Local communities

We also strive to play a constructive role in the local communities where we are based, for example by participating in raising awareness of engineering or health & safety issues in local schools or sponsoring after-school sports clubs.

Our corporate charity - the NSPCC

telent employees, their families and communities are actively involved in raising funds for our corporate charity, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).  We have regular fund raising events including Bike Rides, Charity golf days, raffles, sponsored walks, runs and even sky dives. Together we raise around £370,000 to support the valuable contribution that the NSPCC provides to families and young people throughout the UK.
