Case Study – Network Rail Signalling System Modernisation
telent have taken responsibility for the design, supply, installation and
testing of the fixed transmission network, which carries voice and data
circuits from line-side telephones and signalling equipment to Rail Signalling
Centres. Implementation involves fibre and copper cable deployment, equipment
installation and commissioning and then circuit provisioning for the signalling
and telephony applications.
Ericsson supplied SDH equipment
to form the resilient backbone for the network, together with the XMP
product range which provides access to signalling, telephones and CCTV sub-systems.
