telent Officially Opens its Network Services Centre14 Feb, 2007– telent (LSE: TLNT) a leading provider of technology services, today officially opened its newly refurbished Network Services Centre (NSC) on Carr Lane in Chorley.
The opening of the centre, was carried out by Colin Campbell, Deputy Chief Executive of Chorley City Council, and Mark Plato, CEO of telent. “I first visited the telent site 20 years ago when it was a payphone assembly facility. Nimble fingers have now given way to the nimble minds of telent, a 21st century knowledge based business. The Network Services Centre is an impressive facility with dedicated people at its core,” commented Colin Campbell. “I am confident that telent and this site will continue to provide excellent support and guidance to its customers and that the business will go from strength to strength.” Mark Plato, CEO of telent, said, “This centre handles calls from all over the UK and is able to despatch engineers to any fault, anywhere in the country. This makes the NSC a vital part of telent and crucial to our customers. “We are delighted that Colin has taken time out of his busy schedule to open this facility for telent and hope his visit will re-enforce our partnership with Chorley Council and the local community.”
