telent has been working in the emergency services industry for many years. One of its key contracts is with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service where it provides a total outsourced Information & Communications Technologies(ICT) Services. telent also provides voice and data solutions to Police Forces as well as Fire & Rescue Services across the UK

Solutions include managed terminal services for portable and in-vehicle devices, the management of outsourced Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) services and turnkey network projects based on the Plan, Build and Operate philosophy.

telent has a national security cleared field force and also utilises its Secure Services Centre (SSC) that provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet its customers’ requirements on a 24x7x365 basis by trained staff with security clearance. These services include:

Network Management, with alarm monitoring, corrective fault management, performance analysis and configuration management;
Secure Process Management including Help Desk and 1st line support, management of maintenance and tasking of telent and 3rd party Field Engineers, Asset Management, repairs and spares management including holding system reference models in a number of its secure premises; and
System Field Services including corrective and preventative maintenance, with cryptographic equipment management and cabling in secure premises.

telent also enjoys accreditation of BS7799: Part 2:2000 Information Security Management System and has a TEA2 licence from PITO.
